Role: Window Cleaning Technician
Employer: Sparkle Squad
Location: Castle Rock
Compensation: $18-$40/hr + Tips
Job Type: Full-Time & Part-Time
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Compensation
We believe in paying people fairly. Our technicians earn a percentage of the revenue from the jobs they complete, so as you become more skilled and efficient, your earning potential grows with you.
While you’re learning the tools and process, earning around $18/hour is realistic. Once you’re up to speed—typically within 30 days—$25+/hour plus tips is expected. Strong technicians will have periods where they earn $40/hour or more.
You also earn customer tips and $10 for every Google review you receive.
The goal is simple: get really good at the job, take great care of the customer, and share in the value you help create.
Growth
We don’t care about window-cleaning experience. We’re looking for people who want to learn and grow.
During the interview process, we’ll talk about your “why” and what you want your life to look like. If you join the team, we’ll set goals together in areas like health, finances, relationships, and education. My goal is to help you make progress toward those goals while you help us build Sparkle Squad.
There is a real path to grow inside the business:
Apprentice → Technician → Crew Lead → Operations Manager
As we grow, I’ll need people to lead crews, run commercial operations, help with training, marketing, sales, and other parts of the business. You’ll also get a front-row seat to what it takes to build a business—the wins, problems, decisions, mistakes, and systems behind growth.
You may stay with us for years and grow into leadership, or Sparkle Squad may be one chapter that helps prepare you for what’s next. Either way, if you’re serious about becoming better and taking on more responsibility, I want to help you do that.
Who Does Well Here
You’ll probably do well here if you enjoy being outside, talking with people, and want a job where you’re trusted to think for yourself.
I coach like a positive athletic coach: I’ll give you feedback, push you to improve, and have your back. People who thrive here are competitive, like to have fun, take coaching well, and enjoy getting better.
Most importantly, I’m looking for dependable problem-solvers who can show up on time, think through a situation, and take care of customers without needing someone to direct every step.
This Probably Isn’t the Right Fit If…
This probably isn’t the right fit if you can’t comfortably carry a 40–50 lb ladder, don’t want to spend most of the day on your feet, don’t like talking to people, need constant direction, or have a hard time showing up on time.
A Day in the Life
We typically meet at 8:00 AM in Castle Rock and head out from there. We’re a small family business and meet each day in the family garage.
Most days you’ll work with one other technician. As you build your skills and earn trust, you’ll have opportunities to run jobs solo and earn a higher percentage of the job.
Some days are residential. Others are commercial. You’ll use water-fed poles, traditional window-cleaning tools, ladders, and other professional equipment.
Most days wrap up around 4:00 PM. On a light day, you might finish around noon. On a busy day, you may work until 6:00 or 6:30.
The work is physical. Some days are hot. Some are cold. You’ll get dirty and you’ll get a good workout.
