Kurtz Auto Detailing

Navasota, TX

$30 - $40/hr

Part-time

Posted 13 days ago

Job description

ABOUT KURTZ AUTO DETAILING

We're a premium mobile detailing and ceramic coating studio expanding into a full window tint division. We're looking for our lead installer — someone who wants to build something, not just clock in and out.
This isn't a standard shop role. You'll work out of our clean, climate-controlled studio garage. No walk-in chaos, no shop politics, no shady management. We pay above market because we expect flawless work and we sell premium.
We're a young, fast-growing company with serious ad spend, active social media, and a real customer pipeline. The person who takes this role helps us scale a division that'll do $50K+/month within 6 months.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Install premium ceramic and heat-rejection film on cars, trucks, SUVs, and Teslas
  • Operate our GFX Pro plotter (we provide it) or hand-cut as needed
  • Train our in-house apprentice and detail team on tint installation
  • Deliver flashlight-grade installs — zero bubbles, zero creases, zero peeling
  • Help shape our tint division's processes, pricing, and quality standards

COMPENSATION:
Effective Pay: $30–$40/hour (base + commission combined)
Realistic weekly take-home based on volume:
  • Slow week (7 cars): ~$1,150
  • Steady week (10 cars): ~$1,450
  • Busy week (15 cars): ~$2,000+
  • With training bonus week: $2,500+

Structure:
  • $18/hr base ($20 after 60 days, $22 at full-time)
  • $75 per standard vehicle commission
  • +$25 windshield, +$15 sunroof
  • $500 Master Coach Bonus when our apprentice goes solo
  • $25 override on every solo install your trainee completes
  • Weekly direct deposit via Gusto
  • Overtime uncapped during high-volume weeks
Growth Path: Part-time → Full-time W-2 within 60 days. Future Division Lead role with profit share at $20K+/mo tint revenue.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2+ years professional window tint experience
  • Comfortable installing on cars, trucks, SUVs (Teslas a plus)
  • Own your professional tools (we provide plotter, film, shop tools)
  • Reliable transportation to Navasota
  • Available 3–4 weekdays + Saturdays + Sundays during the ramp phase
  • Clean install track record — every job passes a flashlight inspection
  • Willing to teach an apprentice and grow with the company

Bonus Points:
  • XPEL, Llumar, 3M, or SunTek dealer/installer experience
  • PPF (paint protection film) experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
