Job Overview

CAC by Design is seeking a reliable and skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team. This role focuses on the fabrication, assembly, and installation of cabinetry for residential kitchen and bathroom remodels. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with woodworking tools and materials, and able to deliver high-quality finished work in both shop and in-home environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, assemble, and install residential kitchen and bathroom cabinetry according to company standards, drawings, and specifications.
  • Measure, cut, shape, sand, and prepare wood and engineered materials accurately for cabinet production.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and effectively.
  • Install cabinet boxes, doors, drawers, hardware, trim, and related components with precision.
  • Assist with field modifications, adjustments, touch-ups, and repairs during installation.
  • Work inside occupied homes while maintaining cleanliness, professionalism, and respect for homeowners.
  • Communicate clearly and courteously with homeowners and project team members.
  • Follow clearly defined company systems, procedures, and installation processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and jobsite at all times.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in cabinet making, finish carpentry, woodworking, or a related skilled trade preferred.
  • Ability to read shop drawings, blueprints, layouts, and measurements accurately.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Physically capable of lifting and maneuvering materials weighing up to 100 lbs when needed.
  • Experience working in customersโ€™ homes with a strong focus on professionalism and communication.
  • Ability to follow structured systems and standardized processes.
  • Finishing, laminating, or hardware installation experience is helpful but not required.
  • Clean, professional appearance and good personal hygiene.
  • Reliable, motivated, and able to work well independently or as part of a team.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license preferred.
