Apprentice Building Engineer
Location: New Orleans, LA
Employment Type: Full-Time (6–12 Month Program, Flexible Duration)

We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Building Engineer to join our facilities team. This role provides hands-on training in building systems maintenance, offering an excellent pathway into a lifelong skilled trade with opportunities for advancement. You will work closely with experienced engineers to learn the fundamentals of building operations, safety, and preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform supervised inspections of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Assist with preventive maintenance tasks such as filter changes, lubrication, and minor equipment adjustments
  • Support troubleshooting and basic repairs under guidance from senior engineering staff
  • Learn to enter work orders, update maintenance logs, and maintain inventory of spare parts
  • Conduct routine safety checks and promptly report hazards
  • Assist in preparing basic technical reports and maintenance checklists
  • Participate in facility projects including equipment installations, system upgrades, and energy-efficiency initiatives
