Job description

POSITION DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Successfully implements the Plan of Care.

  • Demonstrates knowledge and utilizes proper infection control techniques when providing direct care.

  • Assist resident with all activities of daily living including, but not limited to: bathing, toileting, dressing, feeding, shaving, oral care etc.

  • Assist clients with ostomy and catheter care.

  • Assist with care of pets as indicated in the plan of care.

  • Accompany client to an appointment or activity outside the home as directed by the supervisor.

  • Provides meaningful companionship to include Community Involvement and Socialization based on the activity calendar and the resident’s abilities, interests and cognitive capacity.

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid HHA certificate, CNA certificate, or LPN license - required

  • High school diploma or equivalent - required

  • Experience providing hands on care to clients in a caregiver role - required

SCHEDULE

  • This position is a Per Diem position: Per diem employees (often in healthcare or education) work on-demand, filling in for absent staff or surges in workload.

  • 1st Shift (7AM-3PM)

  • 2nd Shift (3PM - 11PM)
