This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while working from the comfort of your home. However, you will be connected to a supportive team dedicated to providing outstanding client care. The remote work setting includes the utilization of modern telehealth technology to conduct sessions, ensuring a seamless experience for both clients and counselors alike. The hospice center, although not a direct work setting for this role, serves as a reminder of the critical importance of compassionate care and the impact of mental health support.

In this role, you will be responsible for a range of critical tasks that directly affect the wellbeing of clients:

• Deliver individual and couples therapy tailored to the diverse needs of clients across all age groups.
• Conduct thorough assessments, developing comprehensive treatment plans to address substance use and mental health disorders.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment updates, in adherence with HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintain an organized schedule, coordinating ongoing appointments and managing a client caseload efficiently.
• Utilize our billing service effectively to handle patient claims, insurance verification, and eligibility confirmations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to enhance client care and resource integration.
• Stay informed about current clinical practices and participate in continuous professional development to hone skills and stay abreast of best practices.

Your primary focus will include youth, adults, and families referred for outpatient treatment. These clients often face a variety of challenges, including substance use disorders, mental health issues, and complex psychosocial needs. The LCSW will provide empathetic support while employing evidence-based practices to drive client engagement and positive outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in a human services or behavioral healthcare field.
• An active LCSW licensure in California, with a minimum of two years of paid full-time experience in chemical dependency, mental health, or adolescent treatment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with clients and document care processes.
• Ability to work independently and make informed clinical decisions in a remote setting.

While not required, candidates with significant training or experience in couple’s therapy and those familiar with various clinical presentations will be highly valued. Skills in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care will also enhance your contribution to our team.
