As an LCSW, you will play a crucial role in shaping the mental health journeys of individuals and families in need of care.

About the Organization

Founded in 1993, Hopestone Counseling Services is committed to excellence in behavioral healthcare, specializing in addiction recovery. We focus on serving diverse populations, particularly women seeking support in overcoming substance abuse. Our core values of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion guide our operational philosophy, allowing us to create a therapeutic environment that respects and honors the dignity of all clients. Our expert team is passionate about delivering comprehensive and individualized care in a collaborative setting.

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while working from the comfort of your home. However, you will be connected to a supportive team dedicated to providing outstanding client care. The remote work setting includes the utilization of modern telehealth technology to conduct sessions, ensuring a seamless experience for both clients and counselors alike. The hospice center, although not a direct work setting for this role, serves as a reminder of the critical importance of compassionate care and the impact of mental health support.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for a range of critical tasks that directly affect the wellbeing of clients:

  • Deliver individual and couples therapy tailored to the diverse needs of clients across all age groups.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, developing comprehensive treatment plans to address substance use and mental health disorders.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment updates, in adherence with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Maintain an organized schedule, coordinating ongoing appointments and managing a client caseload efficiently.
  • Utilize our billing service effectively to handle patient claims, insurance verification, and eligibility confirmations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to enhance client care and resource integration.
  • Stay informed about current clinical practices and participate in continuous professional development to hone skills and stay abreast of best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will include youth, adults, and families referred for outpatient treatment. These clients often face a variety of challenges, including substance use disorders, mental health issues, and complex psychosocial needs. The LCSW will provide empathetic support while employing evidence-based practices to drive client engagement and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a human services or behavioral healthcare field.
  • An active LCSW licensure in California, with a minimum of two years of paid full-time experience in chemical dependency, mental health, or adolescent treatment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with clients and document care processes.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed clinical decisions in a remote setting.
Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates with significant training or experience in couple’s therapy and those familiar with various clinical presentations will be highly valued. Skills in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care will also enhance your contribution to our team.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 – 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Medical, Vision, and Dental insurance coverage.
  • Paid time off and 11 paid holidays to support work-life balance.
  • A 403(b) retirement savings plan to aid in future financial planning.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and tuition reimbursement, investing in your professional growth.
