Application Support Analyst - Public Sector
We are seeking an Application Support Analyst to support enterprise business applications within a public sector environment. This role will provide Tier 1 application support for systems such as Workday Financials, Payroll, Time Tracking, Leave and Absence, HCM, Inventory, Assets, integrations, reporting, security, and business processes.
This position is ideal for someone with a technical support background who enjoys troubleshooting, working with end users, improving business processes, and supporting enterprise systems in a professional, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day application support and troubleshooting for enterprise business systems.
  • Support Workday modules including Financials, Payroll, HCM, Time Tracking, Leave and Absence, Inventory, Assets, reporting, security, and integrations.
  • Troubleshoot software, hardware, database, workflow, reporting, and application-related issues.
  • Work closely with end users to understand business needs, document requirements, and improve system efficiency.
  • Assist with application testing, system upgrades, patching, release support, and user training.
  • Support functional configuration, business processes, reporting, and security access within Workday.
  • Help maintain documentation including user guides, business processes, functional specifications, and support procedures.
  • Coordinate with IT teams, vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and support projects.
  • Assist with data security, user access, separation of duties, and compliance-related support.
  • Provide timely updates to management and project stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED with 3+ years of technical support experience;
    or
  • Associate degree with 2+ years of technical support experience;
    or
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field with 1+ year of technical support experience.
  • Experience in help desk, service desk, desktop support, application support, or enterprise systems support.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, business applications, workflows, change management, user security, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned tasks, and collaborate with technical and non-technical users.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Workday or similar ERP/business application platforms.
  • Experience with multiple enterprise applications or server-based systems.
  • Prior public sector, public safety, government, or law enforcement environment experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field.

  • Standard business hours, with occasional after-hours, weekend, holiday, or emergency support as needed.
