Nightwing is seeking an Applications Architect to support applications development and operations and maintenance of a variety of systems and initiatives focused on streamlining operations, automating processes, and aligning customer solutions to the overarching digital architecture. The ideal candidate will help promote state-of-the-art IT solutions, collaborating with IT mission partners to share technology and lessons learned and ensure records management processes and requirements are included in the early design stages of IT solutions across the Intelligence Community. Additionally, this individual will work in concert with the customer technical interfaces to ensure future plans for technology are in line with the plans for the overall customer architecture. Expertise in Java and Python, designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications is crucial. The ideal candidate will have experience in building scalable and efficient applications, integrating APIs, and working with databases. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that meet business requirements.
TS/SCI with Polygraph Required Day 1
Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and performant software architectures.
  • Lead the development team through design, testing, and modification stages, ensuring adherence to architectural blueprints.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications by collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Define and ensure consistency in application architectural standards and processes.
  • Select appropriate technologies and frameworks, staying updated on trends.
  • Conduct code reviews, ensure coding and security standards, and oversee testing and debugging.
  • Monitor and optimize application performance.
  • Document application designs and configurations.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.
