job summary:

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to lead offshore AMS support operations for a major retail organization. In this role, you will act as the technical and functional anchor for retail SAP systems, ensuring high system availability, smooth interface execution, and rapid issue resolution. You will bridge client needs with offshore execution, providing critical hands-on debugging and functional leadership.

responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor an offshore support team providing Application Maintenance Support (AMS) for SAP systems.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve urgent production issues across SAP Retail, SAP SD, and FIORI applications.
  • Oversee and maintain system interfaces, batch jobs, and integration points within an S/4HANA ecosystem.
  • Manage client communications and drive support performance to meet or exceed targeted SLAs.

qualifications:

10+ years of dedicated experience with SAP Retail and SAP Sales and Distribution (SD).


Demonstrated experience in Application Maintenance Support (AMS) environments with strong technical debugging skills.


Proven leadership capability managing offshore technical and functional teams.


Hands-on background in retail business processes, including promotions, store operations, and store sales.


Bachelor's degree or higher.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


Experience with SAP CAR, POS systems, and S/4HANA migrations or operations.


Familiarity with SAP FIORI processes related to Store Operations.


Direct experience in retail industry support operations.
