Job description

GCyber is seeking an Integration Developer to connect applications, authoritative data sources, mission systems, and shared platform services for a federal customer. You will design reliable, secure interfaces that move information between legacy and modern environments while preserving accuracy, access controls, traceability, and operational resilience.
We welcome candidates from API development, middleware, application integration, data integration, backend development, ETL, and cloud-integration backgrounds. Deep experience with one strong integration stack is more important than experience with every technology listed.
As the Integration Developer, you will
  • Design, develop, configure, test, deploy, and maintain APIs, services, connectors, interfaces, data exchanges, and integration workflows.
  • Integrate cloud, platform, database, SaaS, file-based, and legacy systems using appropriate synchronous, asynchronous, batch, and event-driven patterns.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, validation, transformation, logging, monitoring, error handling, retries, and reconciliation.
  • Develop and maintain API specifications, interface control documentation, data mappings, configuration, test evidence, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guidance.
  • Collaborate with data, workflow, dashboard, platform, security, testing, and mission teams to deliver end-to-end capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot integration failures, analyze performance and reliability, resolve defects, and improve observability and supportability.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Current DoD 8140/8570-compliant baseline certification appropriate to the assigned position, such as Security+, CySA+, GSEC, SSCP, or another approved credential.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Three or more years of relevant experience in systems integration, API development, middleware, backend development, data integration, ETL, or a related discipline; equivalent education, training, certifications, and experience will be considered.
  • Hands-on experience with APIs, web services, databases, data formats, authentication, or integration platforms.
  • Working knowledge of REST, JSON, XML, data mapping, error handling, security, testing, observability, and production support concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting federal or DoD customers and Agile or DevSecOps delivery teams.
  • Experience with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, Power Platform connectors, message queues, integration middleware, SQL, Python, Java, C#/.NET, or comparable technologies.
  • Familiarity with OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, service accounts, API gateways, CI/CD, Git, Azure DevOps, and cloud or hybrid integration environments.
  • Experience documenting and supporting production integrations across organizational or security boundaries.
