Automotive Service Advisor Job Duties

The job duties of an Auto Service Advisor may include:

Greeting customers promptly

Documenting customers concerns and service requests on the tablet-generated repair order.

Working closely with technicians to solve the customer concerns

Communicating required maintenance and repair estimates to the customer via E-Approval, video, text, phone, or in person.

Set the proper expectation and update the customer throughout the repair process

Test-driving vehicles to confirm service repairs or verify a concern with the customer

Estimating the cost and time needed for repairs

Handling customer complaints

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge of automotive machines and tools

At least 1 year experience in the automotive industry

Must have a valid driverโ€™s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record

Bi-lingual preferred but not necessary, Spanish or Polish
