Apple Vision Pro is a revolutionary spatial computer that seamlessly blends digital content with your physical space. It will allow us to do the things we love in ways never before possible - all while staying connected to the people around us.
Description
Join the Apple Vision Pro team as a System Compute Architect, where you'll drive system level optimization for our spatial computing platform. You will develop comprehensive models for power, performance, and timing analysis while driving overall optimization through deep collaboration with software, algorithms, and cross-functional teams. In this role, you'll analyze architectural options against critical engineering trade-offs including power, performance, cost, and quality. You'll define system-level features, author detailed functional requirements, and challenge performance decisions with innovative ideas. Your analysis and work will guide key systems engineering decisions on high-performance, low-power designs that deliver the exceptional user experience Apple Vision Pro demands.
Preferred Qualifications
Domain experience in VR/MR systems and spatial computing technologies
Strong understanding of software stack including computer vision algorithms, firmware, OS, and applications
Familiarity with camera sensor technologies, ISP and display processing, and real-time computer vision
Experience in real-time system constraints analysis and optimization
Minimum Qualifications
Understanding of computer architecture concepts, particularly SoC, CPU, GPU and Neural accelerator design and system-level optimization
Proficiency in system-level modeling and analysis for data flows, performance, and power optimization
Strong programming skills in Python with experience in performance modeling and simulation frameworks
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration and executive presentations
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
3+ years of equivalent practical experience in performance modeling or system architecture
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
