Job Description Summary

We are looking for an early career Application Developer to build and maintain applications using Appian and other low-code platforms. This role focuses on hands-on development, integration, and delivering high-quality solutions that meet business requirements. You will work closely with senior developers and global teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery. This role is part of the Center of Excellence (COE).

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develops specifications for new and existing systems to determine program steps and sequencing.
  • Designs, codes, tests, and documents components for applications or other technical solutions.
  • Coordinates with co-workers, clients, operations and technical support on systems projects.
  • Works independently and sets direction on small to medium size projects.
  • Involved in solving problems with systems and programs.
  • Interfaces and initiates discussions with clients to determine requirements, resolve problems and perform testing.
  • Supports other analysts by performing functions, such as coding, testing, job processing, documentation, and scheduling.
  • Plans specific activities within a complex IT project.
  • Demonstrates a limited knowledge of systems and the overall business.
  • May require some supervision and occasional review of work.


Qualifications

  • 2-year computer science or business degree or equivalent work experience. Up to 2 years work experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Develop applications using Appian and related technologies.
  • Leverage API based integrations to bring data from external systems.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, API integrations, and reporting tools.
  • Domain knowledge in Financial Services.
  • Appian certifications (Developer level or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with JIRA and Agile delivery frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud environments and deployment processes.


Working Conditions

  • Hybrid Office Environment (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays)
  • May be required to work outside normal business hours due to special projects or on-call situations.

Compensation

The Salary for this position generally ranges between$60,000 - $75,000 annually.Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors includingqualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.

Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company's discretion.

This is a hybrid position requiring three days in office per week in one of our hub locations (Philadelphia, PA; Cedar Rapids, IA; Denver, CO). Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
