The Business Applications Developer III is an advanced role responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining sophisticated enterprise software applications. The role demands a deep understanding of .NET, Node, Typescript, SQL, and integration with other systems. This position involves mentoring junior developers and leading larger development projects.
As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement integrations between enterprise systems (ServiceNow, SAP, Workday, Jira,Confluence, Salesforce, and others) and the SNC developer platform
  • Build and maintain API and event-driven integration patterns (REST, GraphQL, webhooks, messagequeues, event streaming) for reliable, scalable data exchange
  • Own identity platform engineering - integrating SSO, OAuth/OIDC, SCIM provisioning, anddirectory services across enterprise applications
  • Lead technology vendor strategy and evaluation for enterprise tooling - defining selection criteria,conducting evaluations, and managing vendor relationships
  • Build enterprise automation solutions that reduce manual workflow overhead across IT, Operations,and Engineering processes
  • Maintain integration platform reliability - monitoring, alerting, and on-call for integration failures
  • Document integration patterns, publish reusable connectors and SDKs, and enable other teams tobuild on the integration platform
  • Ensure all integrations

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field of study.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analyst systems, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Experience with .NET (C#), WCF, MVC, jQuery, JavaScript, Node, Typescript.
  • Skilled in SQL Development, Application Integration, Web application development, HTML, DHTML, or CSS.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proven experience leading development projects.
  • Experience designing integration architecture and patterns for enterprise systems and event-driven platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, SAP, Kafka, Azure Service Bus).
  • Experience designing identity federation and SSO solutions using OAuth/OIDC/SAML.
  • Experience with Python or Go, including building automation platforms that reduce manual workflow overhead.
  • Experience leading vendor evaluations and designing monitoring/observability practices for integration reliability.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Prior experience with Github.
  • Experience designing GraphQL/federated APIs, API gateways, or iPaaS integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Logic Apps, Kong, Apigee).
  • Experience designing SCIM/directory synchronization architecture or webhook and event processing systems.
  • Experience with PLM/CAD system integrations or low-code/no-code automation platforms (e.g., Power Automate, Zapier).
  • Knowledge of CMMC and data classification requirements for designing compliant integrations.

Essential Functions:
  • Perform desk-based computer tasks for extended periods.
  • Engage in repetitive motions, including typing on a keyboard.
  • Occasionally lift and move items up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including QA, operations, and security, to ensure the seamless integration and functionality of business applications within the aerospace and defense context.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $108,496.89 - $149,183.22. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
