Job description

Location: Portland, Oregon (On-Site)

Company: The S Group, Inc.

About The S Group

The S Group is a global leader in apparel design, development, production, and logistics, headquartered in Portland, Oregon, with integrated teams across Europe and Asia. We partner with leading brands to create products that perform — commercially, technically, and aesthetically — across competitive global markets.

Our work begins at the fiber level, collaborating with mills and suppliers worldwide to engineer proprietary materials that drive differentiation. Guided by disciplined systems and Six Sigma methodologies, we operate with near-zero defect performance while maintaining speed, scalability, and cost efficiency. From concept through final delivery, our teams provide end-to-end accountability and transparent execution that enables brand growth and protects margins.

Role Overview

The Account / Production Assistant provides direct support to the Account / Production Manager in delivering The S Group's integrated services across design, development, production, and logistics. This is an internal-facing support role.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn the fundamentals of apparel account and production management within a fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Account & Project Support

●     Support the Account / Production Manager in deliverables required to maintain seasonal project timelines.

●     Prepare, organize, and update internal project documentation, trackers, and files across internal systems.

●     Compile status updates and summaries for internal review.

●     Assist in organizing internal meetings, agendas, and follow-up notes among internal teams.

Production & Sourcing Support

●     Maintain and update data across Line Plans, Work-in-Progress (WIP) trackers, and ERP systems.

●     Assist with compiling costing information and sourcing data for internal review.

●     Support order entry and documentation for internal purchase order processes.

●     Track production milestones internally and help flag potential delays for manager follow-up.

●     Organize inspection, testing, and quality approval records prior to shipment authorization.

●     Assist with internal coordination of packing, shipping, and delivery documentation.

Qualifications

Experience

●     No prior experience required; 1–2 years of experience in apparel, retail, logistics, or a related administrative role preferred.

●     Exposure to fabrics, trims, garment construction, or ERP/production tracking systems is a plus, but not required.

●     Interest in learning the apparel lifecycle from concept through manufacturing and delivery.

Skills & Attributes

●     Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through on internal tasks.

●     Comfortable managing multiple internal priorities in a fast-paced environment.

●     Strong written communication skills for internal reporting and documentation (no external or client-facing communication required).

●     Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools.

●     Ability to work collaboratively within internal teams while managing independent tasks.

●     Eagerness to learn and grow into broader account and production responsibilities over time.

Work Environment

●     This is an on-site, internally-focused support role.

Why Join The S Group

The S Group offers the opportunity to build a foundation in apparel account and production management at the intersection of innovation, global collaboration, and technical excellence, within a supportive internal team environment.

If you are organized, detail-driven, and eager to grow within the apparel industry, we invite you to apply.
