We are proud of our motivated, loyal and highโ€performing workforceโ€”and they are proud to be part of a global leader in the woodโ€based products industry.**Position Summary:**The Accounting Manager Klamath performs general accounting functions including the reconciliation of various general ledger accounts, intra-company allocations, and preparation and posting of monthly accruals.**Duties/Responsibilities:*** Prepare and complete month-end financial statements.* Calculate and report the lower of cost or market value of panel inventory.* Responsible for various accounting functions to support the business unit.* Perform variance and financial analyses.* Collaborate with operations and sales to develop yearly and quarterly budgets.* Enter contracts into the fiber procurement program.* Process contract adjustments including rate changes and ticket errors.* Process fiber payable and receivable transactions.* Produce monthly reports.* Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and procedures.* Perform additional duties as required by supervisor.* On-site attendance is essential to effectively perform the listed duties and responsibilities.**Supervisory Responsibilities:*** Oversee and support the Junior Accountant. + Responsible for performance management of direct report in accordance with company values, objectives, and policies. + Provide mentoring, coaching, training, and support consistent with developing and sustaining a high-performing and accountable team.**Required Skills and Abilities:*** Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles with strong general ledger, account reconciliation, and cash management skills.* Proficient in accounting software programs.* Ability to self-direct and prioritize workflow.* Ability to exercise good judgment and manage the function, consistent with corporate and fiduciary principles and guidelines, while participating as a member of the local facility team.* High level of personal integrity and ethical and professional standards.* High degree of initiative.**Education and Experience:*** Bachelorโ€™s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.* Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience.* Relevant industry-related experience preferred.**Environmental Conditions:**May be exposed to dust, noise, trip hazards, and variable weather and temperatures. Position requires the ability to navigate stairs daily, as the office workspace is located upstairs.**Required Personal Protective Equipment:**Positions may require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at specific times.
