Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk with a focus on deal capping to join our team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all vehicle deals are accurately reviewed, processed, and finalized in compliance with company and manufacturer standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment and has a strong understanding of automotive accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and cap retail and wholesale automotive deals for accuracy and completeness
  • Verify deal structure including pricing, fees, taxes, rebates, and lender funding details
  • Ensure all required documentation is complete, signed, and compliant with state and lender regulations
  • Post deals into the accounting system and reconcile schedules
  • Coordinate with sales and finance departments to resolve discrepancies or missing information
  • Track funding status and follow up on outstanding contracts or receivables
  • Maintain accurate records of deals, contracts, and related documentation
  • Assist with month-end closing by ensuring all deals are processed and posted in a timely manner
  • Support audits and internal compliance processes related to deal files
  • DMV auditing
  • Bank reconciliation and balancing

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred)
