Job Summary

The Sr Manager/Associate Director, Pricing is responsible for the development and execution of pricing strategies across Apotex existing product portfolio as well as leading a team of pricing analysts. This role drives key analytical initiatives that inform pricing decisions, market positioning, and overall commercial performance. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the structure of all pricing models, analyze market dynamics and collaborate cross-functionally to optizimize pricing positions for Apotex product portfolio.
  • Drive pricing analytics for efficient decision making to drive revenue and enhance profitability.
  • Implement dynamic pricing strategies that respond to real-time market conditions, demand fluctuations, and inventory levels.
  • Lead and manage a team of pricing analysts responsible for delivering pricing insights, market analysis, and strategic recommendations.
  • Review and approve bid pricing within defined thresholds in accordance with the Pricing Approval Matrix, and escalate bids above those thresholds to leadership with recommendations supported by analysis prepared by the pricing team to enable informed decision-making
  • Coordinate pricing inputs and analyses required for gotomarket launch readiness, ensuring timely and accurate pricing execution.
  • Analyze and monitor price erosion trends from various data sources; IQVIA, PriceRx, Bid Historicals etc.
  • Monitor competitive list prices and recommend adjustments to Apotex list prices as necessary, providing oversight in the implementation of any approved list price changes.
  • Assist in government contracting process to drive internal alignment and maintain Apotex adherence to government compliance and requirements needed to participate directly in FSS, VA, DoD and DAPA solicitations and proposals.
  • Review PHS/340B quarterly in collaboration with Government Pricing team.
  • Collaborate with sales, contracts, demand planning, finance, regulatory and legal teams as necessary in support of overall business objectives.
  • Support forecast accuracy initiatives by collaborating with product managers, providing pricing assumptions, assessing competitive landscape and identifying risks/opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable Apotex policies and standards in pricing activities, including those related to price setting, market intelligence, customer engagements, and the Code of Conduct.
  • Play a key role in on-going maintenance of the business analysis systems as well as development of additional systems that will improve the accuracy and efficiency of the department. 
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of all commercial, consumer and government contract terms in order to maximize profitability and operational efficiencies.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry pharmaceutical economics and regulations which impact pricing. 
  • Create, document and maintain all procedures, processes and guidelines that applies to all pricing functions.
Job Requirements

Mandatory and Minimum Experience and Education Requirments

  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Seven (7) years of pharmaceutical experience in Pricing, Product Strategy or Commercial Analytics
  • Demonstrated experience managing or mentoring team members.

Job Requirements:

  • Technical and pharmaceutical sales analysis, principles and practices.
  • Principles and practices of budget preparation and administration
  • Management, administration and training practices and methods.
  • Computer Knowledge
    • Position requires proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, Power Point, word processing and a thorough knowledge of developing complex Excel spreadsheets.
  • Skills in:
    • Strategic long and short term planning principles and methods
    • Creating, planning and implementing goals, objectives and practices for effective, efficient and cost effective management of allocated resources
    • Analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions and implementing recommendations for resolution.
    • Responding to sensitive inquiries from management, employees, customers, and regulatory agencies.
    • Communicating clearly, and concisely both orally and in writing.
    • Coordinating, delegating assignments and reviewing the work of assigned department personnel.
  • Physical and Environmental conditions
    • Requires normal range of motion and physical skills required for office work  No heavy lifting.
  • Work Schedule
    • The regularly scheduled work week is Monday through Friday and the hours are 8:30am - 5:30pm. Additional hours may be required as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities and meet business needs.
  • Travel Requirements
    • Occasional overnight travel (up to 20%).
