The Global Security Senior Manager manages the company’s Crisis Management and Emergency Preparedness efforts and supports the Global Security team’s security management and executive protection programs as directed by the Director of Global Security.

Job Details:

The Global Security Senior Manager leads the company’s Crisis Management and Emergency Preparedness efforts and supports the Global Security team’s security management and executive protection programs as directed by the Director of Global Security. The Global Security Senior Manager leads Cubic’s Crisis Management and Business Continuity programs, ensuring personnel and facilities are prepared to respond to and recover from emergencies. The role supports global teams with planning, training, exercises, and incident response, while providing clear recommendations to leadership and building strong internal and external partnerships. Occasional travel is required to support onsite training, drills, and exercises. The Global Security Senior Manager supports executive protection for the CEO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT), including risk assessments, threat analysis, and security recommendations. The role also oversees contract security personnel, training, emergency preparedness, contingency planning, law enforcement coordination, and secure transportation operations. Reporting to the Director of Global Security, this position works 100% on-site under general direction, exercising significant independent judgment and decision-making authority. Customer-focused professional with strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and high ethical standards. Able to prioritize multiple tasks, follow instructions, meet physical job requirements, and travel as needed.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Crisis Management Develop and manage global crisis management and business continuity plans, templates, drills, training and exercises and maintain appropriate records and data management.
  • Manage the Cubic Floor Marshal Employee Safety program
  • Coordinate with Facilities to execute training, drills, and exercises in collaboration with other Global Security staff and other key stakeholders
  • Actively participate in, and/or lead the response to actual crises incidents and events.
  • Coordinates with other Global Security Department colleagues in managing and delivering advice, counsel and guidance to staff regarding travel safety and security practices, procedures and contingency planning in connection with domestic and international travel assignments.
  • Participate and/or lead in the development of emergency preparedness and crises management policies, protocols and procedures at the local, regional or global level.
  • Closely collaborate with Global Security colleagues, Health, Safety & Environment, HR, Legal and other stakeholders to ensure employee safety and relevant duty of care considerations are in place.
  • Manage service delivery of the Company’s contract for emergency notification services globally, ensuring delivery is timely and contractually compliant.
  • Establishes and maintains critical law enforcement and consular relationships.
  • Other duties as required.
Executive Protection
  • Support the company’s executive protection program(s) by providing protective services for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) as necessary.
  • Provide armed first response to security incidents at the Balboa Campus, San Diego, CA ensuring the safety and security of the leadership team, employees, and facility.
  • Provide transportation to the CEO (and other Executive Leadership Team members) as needed and requested and support the Global Security Executive Protection program.
  • Conduct route analysis and event planning activities, develop emergency preparedness and incident contingency plans, and participate in information and intelligence analysis to ensure a safe and secure work environment for selected company executives, facilities, and other off-site locations.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of requisite life-safety and duty of care programs to include the conducting of investigations and site audits and assessments along with the delivery of relevant employee training and education at current and future company locations to include areas that company employees frequent in temporary capacities.
  • Manage all physical, technical, and procedural security components within the facilities to include a contract security guard program (if applicable), providing supervision, training, and oversight.
  • Partner with other support level staff to include HR, Global Trade, Legal, Facilities, and IT to ensure appropriate procedural security policies and procedures are developed and implemented.
  • Conduct investigations as directed to support the Global Security, HR, and Legal departments.
  • Manage service delivery of various physical and technical security services and products from multiple vendors and contractors, ensuring contract and service oversight and compliance.
  • Assists Site Leadership, Proposal and Business Development interests by providing them with relevant advice, counsel, security program information, and other information as required.
  • Establishes and maintains critical law enforcement relationships.
  • Maintain a high level of physical fitness and personal appearance
  • Display and maintain a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Other related tasks as needed.
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Four-year degree in related field of study or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of emergency management procedures and planning.
  • Experience in public safety and crisis communications.
  • Possess strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, and exceptional relationship management competencies to understand impact and sensitivity of security issues.
  • Possess or ability to obtain a concealed carry permit and comply with all relevant training, qualification, and licensing requirements.
  • Ability to stay calm and composed under pressure.
  • Must have organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to prioritize, complete multiple tasks and work under deadlines.
  • React to changing requirements and adjust accordingly.
  • Ability to obtain DOD clearance
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Cubic Pay Range:

Cubic Pay Range: $129,000.00 - $158,000.00 + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
