1st shift (United States of America)Please review the following job description:The Senior ServiceNow Integration & Platform Security Engineer is responsible for designing, building, deploying, and maintaining the API integration standards, authentication services, and platform security controls that enable secure connectivity across the ServiceNow ecosystem. This role serves as a senior technical contributor responsible for engineering reusable integration patterns, OAuth authentication frameworks, API lifecycle management capabilities, and platform security guardrails that support applications, automations, AI agents, and external systems.
The successful candidate will have hands-on experience designing and operationalizing secure integration capabilities in large enterprise environments, with strong knowledge of ServiceNow APIs, IntegrationHub, OAuth, platform security, identity patterns, monitoring, and production support. The role partners closely with product owners, architects, cybersecurity teams, infrastructure teams, application teams, and platform operations to deliver secure, resilient, scalable, and compliant ServiceNow integration capabilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Engineer, support, and continuously improve ServiceNow API integration standards, authentication services, and platform security controls.
Design, build, deploy, and maintain reusable integration patterns across REST APIs, SOAP services, IntegrationHub, Scripted REST APIs, and MID Server capabilities.
Develop and operationalize OAuth authentication frameworks, token management patterns, certificate-based authentication, and secure connectivity standards.
Build and maintain API lifecycle management capabilities including design standards, versioning, documentation, monitoring, deprecation, and retirement practices.
Define and enforce integration and security standards to ensure consistent adoption across the ServiceNow platform.
Support OAuth modernization efforts by migrating legacy authentication patterns toward modern, secure, supportable authentication models.
Engineer platform security guardrails including ACLs, scoped application security, API access controls, credential handling standards, and integration control patterns.
Develop reusable services that enable applications, automations, AI agents, orchestration platforms, and external enterprise systems to securely consume ServiceNow capabilities.
Implement monitoring, logging, observability, performance telemetry, alerting, and operational controls for integrations, APIs, and authentication services.
Respond to integration and platform security alerts, incidents, and service degradation events; triage issues, document root cause, and implement corrective actions.
Perform approved platform changes, configuration updates, integration deployments, and operational maintenance activities in alignment with change, risk, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with cybersecurity, risk, architecture, infrastructure, product, application, and operations partners to implement secure and scalable technical solutions.
Create and maintain technical documentation, implementation standards, reference patterns, support runbooks, and knowledge articles.
Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards, reusable patterns, and secure platform best practices.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development.
3. Deep knowledge of multiple programming languages, software architecture, and design principles.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or equivalent education and related work experience

- 7+ years of software engineering, platform engineering, integration engineering, application development, or related technology experience

- 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow platform engineering, development, administration, integration, or operations experience

- Experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale ServiceNow integrations using APIs, web services, IntegrationHub, Scripted REST APIs, or similar integration technologies

- Experience implementing authentication and authorization patterns such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, certificates, service accounts, or identity provider integrations

- Experience building or enforcing technical standards for APIs, authentication, secure integrations, application security, or platform controls

- Experience supporting production enterprise platforms, including monitoring, incident response, operational troubleshooting, and change execution

- Experience collaborating with cybersecurity, risk, compliance, architecture, infrastructure, and application delivery teams

- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist certification(s)

- Experience with ServiceNow IntegrationHub Enterprise, Flow Designer, MID Server, spoke development, scripted integrations, and platform-native automation

- Experience with API gateways, enterprise integration platforms, event-driven integrations, orchestration platforms, or message queues

- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Ping, CyberArk, secrets management, certificate management, or enterprise identity and access management platforms

- Experience with GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, source control, automated testing, deployment automation, and DevSecOps practice

- Experience supporting AI, automation, agentic, or workflow orchestration use cases that consume ServiceNow APIs or integrate with ServiceNow capabilities

- Experience with security and regulatory frameworks such as SOX, FFIEC, NIST, PCI, or similar control environments
