As an API 653 Inspector, your daily tasks typically include conducting visual examinations of storage tanks, reviewing maintenance records, and performing or overseeing non-destructive testing procedures to assess tank integrity. You may also be responsible for documenting findings, preparing inspection reports, and coordinating with maintenance teams to ensure timely repairs or compliance with regulations.
