Job description

Robert Half is seeking a MuleSoft Developer to support a high-impact integration environment in support of an automobile services client based in Bellevue, WA. This role will focus on strengthening API architecture, integration discipline, security, and overall MuleSoft maturity while helping position the organization for future Agentic AI initiatives.


Duration: 6 month contract with the potential to convert

Location: 100% Remote, client is based in Bellevue.

Schedule: Monday - Friday Core Business Hours


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support enterprise integrations using MuleSoft and Anypoint Platform.
  • Build and maintain REST and SOAP APIs supporting system-to-system integrations.
  • Develop event-driven integrations and help transition the organization toward more scalable, event-based architecture.
  • Leverage Microsoft Azure services to support integration, API, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Implement secure integrations using OAuth, Azure security services, and Azure Key Vault.
  • Help establish stronger API development standards, governance, architecture, and engineering discipline across the MuleSoft environment.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders to define integration solutions and technical requirements.
  • Participate in weekly Agile sprints, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, burn-downs, and delivery activities.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and provide Level 2/3 technical support for production systems.
  • Contribute to the evolution of MuleSoft capabilities supporting future Agentic AI and intelligent workflow initiatives.
  • Help integrate MuleSoft with SaaS platforms and emerging technologies as the organization continues to modernize its application ecosystem.


  • Level 2 or Level 3 MuleSoft Engineer experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft API integrations.
  • Experience developing and supporting REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and system-to-system integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services.
  • Experience implementing API and integration security using OAuth/OAuth 2.0.
  • Experience with Azure Key Vault and secure credential/secret management.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, integration design, and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with Agentic AI or integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications.
  • Staff Engineer-level experience or background in architecture, technical leadership, and establishing engineering standards.
  • Experience with MuleSoft governance, API maturity, and integration architecture.
