Antitrust paralegals play a vital role in supporting litigation or regulatory investigations by ensuring compliance with antitrust laws and assisting in case preparation from start to finish.

Job description

Sr Paralegal

We are looking for ONE senior paralegal, based in our Los Angeles or Emeryville office.  MUST HAVE experience supporting class and collective actions AND employment/wage and hour claims.  MUST KNOW at a confident, expert level how to run Tables of Authorities, and research case law on Westlaw or Lexis Nexis.  Trial experience is preferable. Has been in the class action and employment sector for AT LEAST 3 years (not overall paralegal years).  Proactive, communicative, thrives in a high-volume environment.

TWO paralegals for our class action litigation practice group. They should have consumer and/or antitrust and/or ERISA experience. Must know how to research, cite check, run TOAs, finalize briefs, file in state and federal courts, and have trial support experience. Must be in LA or Emeryville office. Hybrid 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
class, collective or wage and hour experience must have:

+ E-filings- at the state or federal level or both? Both. We file in different jurisdictions nationwide, and at state, federal, appellate levels, so they need to have strong filing experience.
+ Drafting docs- which ones? Are they ‘drafting’ or ‘putting together’? Are templates provided?  Notices, letters, discovery shells and discovery with responses obtained from client. The more experienced they are, the more they’ll be able to contribute to initial drafts of briefs or assistance with research in support.
+ Put together TOAs, do they also have to know how to put together TOCs?  Yes, both, but TOAs are more challenging. If they know how to do TOA, then they will also know how to do TOC.  But doing a TOC does not mean they know how to do a TOA.  Requires strong knowledge of Word to properly format the brief, line spacing, footers, in addition to TOAs
+ Research case law on Westlaw or LexisNexis yes, we use both
