This position will report to the Managing Counsel, Licensing & Anti-Counterfeit. The expected start date for this position is October 5, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the drafting, reviewing, and summarizing of a myriad of licensing agreements, including in relation to consumer products, co-branded arrangements with high-profile IP-holders, domestic and international Olympic and Paralympic stakeholders, and more.  Â
- Interface with the individual business units and the International Olympic Committee to manage efficient processes for licensing of Olympic and Paralympic intellectual property.Â
- Work closely with the broader legal and rights protection team on internal and external education regarding protection of Olympic & Paralympic intellectual property.Â
- Maintain the internal trademark database by tracking filing deadlines, registration updates, and associated classes.Â
- Support the broader legal team in the drafting and reviewing of operational contracts, NDAs, collateral documents necessary for solicitation of RFP's, as well as confidential correspondence, memos, contract summaries, reports, and presentations.Â
- Conduct legal research and analysis on special projects.Â
- Support on other projects and assignments as may be requested by the Managing Counsel, Licensing & Anti-Counterfeit and other legal team members, including but not limited to operational contracts, rights protection workstreams, and more. Â

Background & Requirements:- 3+ years of experience as a paralegal, contract specialist, or legal assistant preferred (preferably in a large law firm and/or corporate in-house legal department).Â
- Experience drafting commercial contracts, highly preferred.Â
- Foundational exposure to intellectual property law, with an understanding of the trademark registration process, timelines, and classification systems.Â
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.Â
- Detail-oriented with exceptional research, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Â
- Excellent word processing and database management skills.Â
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and experience preparing legal documents, presentations and spreadsheets.Â
- Experience working with contract management systems, highly preferred.Â
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Â
- Paralegal certification preferred
- Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.Â
- The majority ofwork will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.Â
- The LA28 office is anopen floorplanworking environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in anopen cubicleenvironment.Â
- Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.Â
- Perform other duties asrequired; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.Â

The annual base salary range for this position is $73,000-$85,000. The pay scaleprovidedis the range that LA28reasonably expectsto pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensationremainssubject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28's operational business needs and applicable law.Â
