Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Brand Protection Investigator to join our global brand protection and investigations team. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding our company's intellectual property, reputation, and consumer trust by identifying, investigating, and mitigating threats such as counterfeit parts, trademark infringements, illicit online sales, and gray-market distribution.

You will conduct investigations across the supply chain, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and work closely with law enforcement and legal teams to protect our brands worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and investigate threats to company brands, including counterfeit automotive parts, illegal trademark use, gray market activities, and online fraud

  • Data Collection & Analysis: Gather intelligence from open-source platforms, internal data, e-commerce sites, and market surveillance to build actionable cases

  • Partner with internal stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, Supply Chain, Sales, and Security) and external partners (law enforcement, customs, industry coalitions) to drive enforcement actions

  • Support civil and criminal enforcement efforts, including coordinating raids, customs seizures, and litigation support

  • Prepare clear, detailed investigative reports and present findings to management

  • Assist in developing training programs to educate employees, dealers, and customers on brand protection best practices

  • Monitor global trends in counterfeiting and IP infringement to recommend proactive strategies

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • 5+ years in investigations, brand protection, law enforcement, corporate security, or a related field, ideally in automotive, manufacturing, or consumer goods
  • Strong understanding of intellectual property law (trademark, copyright, trade dress) and enforcement processes

  • Proven investigative skills, including OSINT techniques and evidence collection
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
