Job Summary
Yarde Metals is a world-class metals service center known for quality, innovation, and customer commitment. We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative (CSR).
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as the primary point of contact for customers, providing timely order status updates, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a positive customer experience through efficient and effective resolution of issues.
Job Responsibilities
- Interact with a large internal and external customer base by responding to in-process and shipped orders.
- Resolve customer issues including shipment discrepancies, damage, delays, and invoicing questions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards, including material traceability when required.
- Investigate the status of orders using the ERP system, referring to reports, and collaborating with departments.
- Ensure appropriate action is taken to resolve inquiries.
- Coordinate special shipping requests and returns.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective action within scope of job.
- Monitor and provide ongoing updates to internal and external customers.
- Coordinate special shipping requests and returns.
- Perform the duties of shipping, receiving and inventory processing as needed.
- Complete necessary forms, paperwork, and records.
- Complete additional duties, tasks, and projects as instructed by manager.
Requirements amp; Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent, college degree preferred.
- Prior customer service experience in the metals, manufacturing, or industrial industries.
- Ability to interpret product specifications, customer purchase orders, and technical details.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to accurately process complex orders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to coordinate across departments.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
