Our Life Policy Issue department seeks an annuity case manager. This role is responsible for setting up new annuity application submissions.

The pay range for this position is $16.82 - $24.00 per hour. Pay is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Be ready to:

  • review submissions for completion of agent suitability training and best interest training
  • run fraud report on all annuitants
  • process all 1035 transfer requests from other companies
  • apply 1035 transfers with the qualifying tax information
  • process five- and 10-year deferrals and settlement options on death claims
  • report cost basis on 1035 transfers for tax reporting  
  • report required annuity information for all states for the market conduct annual statement
  • process replacements within state guidelines
  • assist the Life Actuarial and Internal Audit departments with quarterly and annual annuity audits
  • work with other departments on internal replacements and death claims

Be equipped with:

exceptional verbal and written communication skills 
the ability to precisely and confidently communicate with and provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
excellent time management to meet quick turnaround times on annuity applications and specific deadlines when asking for funds from other insurance companies or financial institutes
attention to detail
knowledge of qualified IRAs, Roth IRAs and non-qualified 1035 exchanges
the ability to calculate the income and cost basis on non-qualified plans for IRS reporting

Bring education or experience from:

an associate's degree (preferred)
more than three years of life annuity experience (preferred)
experience with CLIC Lifepro, suitability tracking and exclusion ratio calculations (preferred)
