Job description

About the role

YVEA is seeking a collaborative, technically capable Systems Administrator to join our team. In this role, you'll be the backbone of our technology operations - keeping our network, servers, and software running smoothly while serving as a trusted resource for staff across every department.

This isn't just a behind-the-scenes IT role. Success here is built on relationships. You'll work closely with people across the organization to understand their needs, solve real problems, and help them get more out of the technology they use every day.

What you'll work on
  • Infrastructure management: Active Directory, Microsoft 365, on-premises and virtualized servers, network switches, firewalls, and VEEAM backup solutions.
  • Cybersecurity compliance: Monitor and enhance security practices aligned with NIST frameworks - access controls, patch management, vulnerability mitigation.
  • Application support: Support NISC and iVUE platforms, evaluate end-user needs, and recommend technology solutions to improve efficiency.
  • User support & training: Set up accounts and workstations, deliver end-user training, and create clear, maintainable documentation.
  • Collaboration & continuous improvement: Partner across all departments, coordinate application integrations and deployments, and proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency within the NISC product suite.
What we’re looking for
  • Associate degree in a relevant field, or 5+ years of equivalent hands‑on IT experience.
  • At least three years of experience in IT Systems Administration and will have knowledge of computer hardware, software, wireless & wired networking, active directory, Windows OS, Server Administration, and cell phone setup.
  • 2+ years in a customer‑facing or technical support role, with a genuine commitment to service and building trust with non‑technical users.
  • Expertise or the ability to become proficient in the management, configuration, and technical use of the iVUE Connect – System in use at YVEA.
  • Other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system experience (Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, ERPNext, etc.) is acceptable in lieu of direct experience with iVUE.
  • Ability to independently resolve problems, research information, create solutions, and make decisions based on facts and sound judgment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to technical and non-technical audiences, including demonstrated listening skills.
  • Ability to lead small project teams and manage projects.
  • Must have good troubleshooting, problem‑resolution, and documentation skills.
What we offer
  • Benefits: Medical, vision, dental, and life insurance for you, your spouse, and your child.
  • Time Off: We encourage you to enjoy your time outside work with a generous PTO plan and ten paid holidays.
  • 401 (K) Retirement Plans: We will match your 401(k) contribution up to 4%.
  • Retirement Security Plan: 1.7% of your average salary x years of service x 1.19 = annuity.
  • Employee Assistance Plan: For you and your family at no cost.
  • Events: We love to have fun at work! We offer many opportunities and events. Anything from happy hour to a company‑wide snow tubing.
  • Training and Development: We provide both off‑site and on‑the‑job training opportunities so you can keep up and advance in our ever‑changing utility environment.
  • Education Assistance: Enjoy learning? Our Education Assistance Policy will assist with your tuition.
  • Health and Well‑being: A healthy you is a healthy us. We will deposit extra cash into your checking or health savings account for each preventative exam you and your dependents complete.
  • Safety: Never driven in the snow before? A course at Bridgestone Winter Driving School in Steamboat Springs is on us.
  • Discounts Program: Local and national discounts on everything from travel to a new set of tires.

Candidates must pass a drug screen, excluding THC.
