Job Description:
As Sr. Business Analyst, you will play a key role in Pacific Life's Digital Transformation FAST Contract Administration team by providing business analysis and support to the business partners, management, and technical teams. This includes providing context around business workflow and processing requirements as well as helping to engage the various business teams in the transition to a new administration system. . You will join a dynamic team of Analysts, developers, users and testers in a fast-paced, Agile technology environment supporting our newest Annuity Admin platform.
How you will make an impact:
  • Analyze business needs and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Work with Product Owner to refine backlog, prioritize use cases, and drive understanding
  • Develop solutions to problems, requiring the use of ingenuity and creativity; coordinating with business areas, Digital Transformation teams and Technology on overlapping functions
  • Participate in application design sessions
  • Engage and actively participate in sprint and release plans; participate in retrospectives to continually improve team processes
  • Develop a deep understanding of contract administration and business processes supported by the contract administration system
  • Act as front-line support for incidents, outages, and complex business inquiries

The experience you will bring:
  • 5-8 years of business analysis or equivalent experience in contract administration role(s); knowledge of the complexities of annuity administration, such as New Business, Customer Service, and In-force administration.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent experience
  • Outside-the-box thinking with strong problem-solving skills; ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Strong ability to communicate in writing and verbally on both business and technical subjects
  • Able to independently coordinate many diverse and complex activities to accomplish a goal
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust, solid teamwork and interpersonal skills

What will make you stand out:
  • Experience with Agile software development (Scrum Master or Product Owner certification is a plus)
  • Knowledge of the FAST Annuity platform
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • Proven experience modernizing, enhancing, or automating systems and processes
  • Strong understanding of Annuity Operations departmental processes

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$113,490.00 - $138,710.00
