Usually leading a team of analysts, your job duties include developing data analysis strategies, tracking and reporting on performance, implementing tools and solutions, and overseeing all analytics operations. You must stay up-to-date on current industry trends. Strong communication and analytical skills are required. Other qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in statistics, data management, or information technology and proven career experience in market research, statistical modelings, or project management.

How does an analytics manager typically collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business insights?

Analytics Managers frequently work alongside teams such as marketing, product development, finance, and operations to translate data into actionable business strategies. They facilitate meetings to understand stakeholder goals, guide data collection efforts, and present findings in a way that's accessible to non-technical audiences. Company Overview
Zeno Power is the leading developer of nuclear batteries - compact power systems that provide reliable, clean energy in frontier environments. By harnessing the heat from radioisotopes, Zeno's batteries power critical missions on Earth, in space, and at sea. To bring this technology to market by 2027, Zeno is seeking out purpose-driven and innovative professionals who are comfortable working in a startup environment. Team members will have a direct impact in enabling commercial and national security missions from the depths of our oceans, to the surface of the moon, and in austere environments here on Earth. Zeno is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to attracting, retaining, and developing a highly qualified, diverse, and dedicated work force. We do not discriminate in hiring on the basis of sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, color, religious creed, national origin, physical or mental disability, protected Veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
Analysis Manager
Zeno is seeking a highly motivated Analysis Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team supporting the development and deployment of Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS). This role is responsible for managing analysts across structural, thermal, and nuclear disciplines, ensuring high-quality technical output in support of mission-critical programs.
In this role you will:
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and oversight to a team of mechanical and nuclear analysts, ensuring high-quality, timely, and technically rigorous analysis deliverables.

  • Manage team workload and resource allocation across multiple projects, aligning analysis priorities with program and company needs.
  • Support the professional development of team members through regular coaching, feedback, goal setting, and performance development conversations.
  • Partner closely with mechanical design, systems engineering, materials, and program management teams to ensure analysis efforts support integrated product development.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point, helping guide analysis approaches, assumptions, and modeling strategies.
  • Identify, implement, and continuously improve analysis workflows, tools, documentation practices, and knowledge-sharing across the team.
  • Communicate team progress, technical risks, and resource needs to senior leadership; represent the analysis team in cross-functional technical and programmatic discussions.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture aligned with Zeno's values and engineering rigor.
  • Report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager, providing regular updates on team performance, project status, and technical risks.

Key Qualifications and Skills
  • B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a closely related field with a strong emphasis on engineering analysis.
  • 8+ years of professional engineering experience in mechanical, thermal, structural, or nuclear analysis.
  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • Strong foundation in engineering analysis methods, with deep expertise in at least one domain (structural, thermal, or nuclear); experience with FEA-based analysis is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with multidisciplinary analysis environments and the ability to effectively oversee work outside one's primary technical specialty.
  • Experience performing engineering work under AS9100, NQA-1, or similar quality standard.
  • Ability to identify technical risks, define bounding cases, and guide teams toward practical, defensible engineering solutions.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to lead technical efforts, mentor peers, and drive work to completion in ambiguous or evolving environments.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects and competing demands.
  • Interest in developing leadership skills and supporting the growth and success of others.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and proactively improving processes and team effectiveness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to multidisciplinary teams and senior leadership.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, program management, quality, and operations teams.
