Business Data Analytics Intern

  • This role is intended for a graduate-level intern, not an undergraduate, due to the analytical depth, data sensitivity, and stakeholder exposure involved
  • Intern will work on production-adjacent datasets and deliver outputs that directly inform business and product decisions
  • Internship provides meaningful, resume-grade deliverables rather than exploratory or academic work

Requirements

  • Proficiency in SQL for analytical queries, joins, aggregation, and implementing KPI reporting
  • Working knowledge of data analysis tools such as Python, R, or similar
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery)
  • Exposure to BI / dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • Ability to organize, analyze, and summarize datasets with strong attention to detail
  • Graduate student (Master's or PhD) in:
    • Data Analytics
    • Business Analytics
    • Statistics
    • Information Systems
    • Applied Mathematics
    • Computer Science (analytics or data-focused track)

(Graduate-level coursework preferred due to complexity and autonomy of work.)

 

Responsibilities

  • Design and build initial analytical dashboards to support product and services decision-making
  • Build basic ETL pipelines to aggregate data into a warehouse for analysis and dashboards
  • Analyze large datasets related to customer usage, risk signals, and operational performance
  • Develop repeatable reporting frameworks (KPIs, trend analysis, cohort analysis) to replace manual processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on data requirements, validations, documentations, and insights
  • Produce executive-ready summaries and visualizations translating data into actionable insights
