What you'll do...

Position: Manager, Advanced Analytics

Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066

Duties: Contribute to a high-performance culture by delivering multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced and growing segment of Walmart's eCommerce business. Lead the development of strategy for reporting, testing, analyzing, and forecasting business performance for Walmart's Marketplace (Third Party Sellers) segment. Identify and provide both tactical ad hoc insights and a strategic ongoing roadmap of deep analytics. Deliver key data-driven business insights and work with cross-functional partners to identify opportunities that drive business and product strategy. Work with the Product Management team to find gaps in current products, gather requirements, create data moratoriums, and design state-of-the-art data products for helping business users. Collaborate on roadmaps with Product, Data Science, and other Analytics teams to understand growth and risk factors of new and future product releases. Define how teams measure success by developing user and business metrics. Work with Business, Product, Technology, and Data teams to understand Walmart's strategy and operating model and translate that into the right analytic approaches, data requirements and data models. Design and conduct A/B tests and multi-variate tests by developing test plans, defining success metrics, and analyzing and transforming data into actionable insights. Gain support from the broader Walmart enterprise by engaging with cross-functional teams, leadership, and key stakeholders. Automate data and analytic solutions at scale. This position does not supervise employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field.

Skills required: Experience coding in relational database systems and big data systems, including SQL and Hive. Experience managing data for experiments, including sampling, labelling, and EDA. Experience designing and conducting A/B testing and multi-variate testing and defining success metrics. Experience scaling and automating data and analytical solutions with ETL techniques. Experience with version control systems, including GitHub. Experience with Cloud Architectures for data related applications, including AWS and GCP. Experience building dashboards, creating data visualizations, and using Tableau, R Shiny, and Microsoft (MS) Excel. Experience coding in programming languages: Python and R. Experience leveraging machine learning for data science modeling, text analytics, time series analysis, including Regression, Classification, and Forecasting. Experience building business strategies through data-driven approaches. Experience developing business consumable decks and Microsoft PowerPoint presentations to communicate insights to stakeholders. Experience executing Root Cause Analysis to identify underlying causes within systems or processes. Experience with project management from conception to completion. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $133,952/year to $202,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
