College/Department Information
The Division of Institutional Effectiveness (IE) provides support and leadership through planning, assessment, data analysis and reporting, performance monitoring and improvement, and project management. The practical and collaborative services drive overall organizational improvements in quality, responsiveness, and efficiency for internal and external stakeholders.
Job Summary
The Analytics Coordinator supports the organization and execution of tasks ultimately reflected in the Institutional Analytics Roadmap and Institutional Survey Scheduling Calendar. By using project and change management methodologies, this coordinator will track analytics products and survey initiatives through every phase of development, launch operations, ensure quality control pertaining to data access and design, and communicate on all deliverables.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
INSTITUTIONAL ANALYTICS PRODUCT COORDINATION : Uses the institution's standardized project and change management methodologies and templates to develop, track, plan, and communicate university analytics products reflected in the Institutional Analytics Roadmap. Develops comprehensive project plans, including schedules, work breakdown structures, and timelines. Coordinates the formal vetting and approval process for analytics products through meticulous communication and record-keeping of progress. Monitors every step of the analytics project checklist and stays ahead of upcoming analytics products updates reflected in the Institutional Analytics Roadmap. Works closely with the Director of Institutional Analytics to support internal teams and customers. Coordinate and prepare for meetings (e.g., scheduling and agendas). Record specific action items and decisions reached during meetings. Ensure all action items are documented and clearly communicated to the responsible parties. Works with the Director of Institutional Analytics to continuously improve the already existing Institutional Analytics project and change management materials such that they properly support the data community (e.g., how to request access to apps, how to provide feedback on apps). Ensures all project documentation is complete and securely stored.
INSTITUTIONAL SURVEY COORDINATION : Coordinates institutional administrative survey processes by implementing project and change management methodologies, which generally involve facilitating communications, recording decisions for survey scheduling approval with requestors and Designated Senior Officials, and updating the Institutional Survey Scheduling Calendar. Provides support for a set of standardized, scheduled evaluations, assessments, and benchmarking surveys. Schedules recurring survey administrations and carries out the planning tasks prior to the launch. Monitors survey traffic on behalf of the institution for possible collisions based on known recurring disseminations. Supports vendor relationships for tools required for survey administration. Ensure all survey approval documentation and target audience lists are securely stored.
DESIGN STANDARDS & DATA VISUALIZATION: Reviews analytics tools using Augusta University Data Design Standards to ensure end users have a cohesive institutional dashboard experience and works with analysts to ensure analytics tools are aligned with the data design standards. Monitors trends in data visualization and recommends strategic directions to Institutional Effectiveness as they may impact our standard operating procedures for developing analytics tools. Represents the university at conferences and workshops related to data analytics and visualization project organization.
TRAINING & COMMUNICATIONS : Coordinates analytics training and develops training materials for the campus community regarding Augusta University's Data Design Standards and understanding Augusta University's analytics environment. Develops strategic communications plans and corresponding content customized to the purpose and audience of the analytics product or survey initiative (e.g., scheduling subscriptions). Communicates project and survey statuses (e.g., response rates) to stakeholders. Update the Institutional Analytics website with Power BI apps, training resources, and announcements. Update IE's Survey Research website. Develops standard operating procedures.
OTHER : Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years of experience in project coordination, operations support, or a related role involving planning, tracking, and communicating tasks, projects, or processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in information design, data science, UX/UI, graphic design, or related field. Experience in a higher education environment. Proficiency with task tracking (e.g., Microsoft Planner) and survey software. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
