Job description

Position Summary
A Pricing and Analytics Manager develops and implements pricing strategies, analyzes data to understand pricing performance, and collaborates with various teams to enhance revenue and customer satisfaction. The Pricing and Analytics Manager is responsible for maintaining/evolving the vision, implementation, and execution of pricing strategy for Oliver Healthcare Packaging. The Pricing and Analytics Manager will be responsible for hiring, training, and managing pricing team members and creating consistent pricing processes. Drive overall growth in many ways including but not limited to leading a team of analysts to analyze cost and competitive data, track win/loss outcomes, and generate complex quotes for large RFQs. This role requires experience with CRM, Tableau and ERP systems plus the vision for evolving from manual ERP/Excel quoting. Part of the position's duties will be designing accurate metrics to measure pricing's effectiveness. Metrics should balance the need to drive profitable growth while ensuring a fast, positive customer experience.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead team of pricing analysts in the Americas to create price quotes for new and existing customer deals. Meet service level goals for quote turnaround time and customer satisfaction.

  • Design and implement improvements to the existing RFQ process across the Americas.

  • Coordination with technology teams to automate reports.

  • Provide thought leadership to identify and execute actions to improve profitability. Partner with other functions to ensure changes result in sustainable value creation

  • Together with sales leadership, create long-term pricing agreements structured to increase margin and extend customer relationships

  • Assist in the development of responses to Request for Proposals (RFP) and provide the financial / business impact to the management and executive leadership teams

  • Work with CRM and sales operations teams to capture quoting and transaction data, then continuously improve reporting capabilities in Tableau and Dynamics CRM

  • Provide clear guidance, support, leadership and where required change management in the execution of the different pricing processes in achieving the different product lines and regional objectives.

  • Work closely with Finance and Operations to ensure quoting tools account for accurate costing.

  • Create and refine pricing models and frameworks to maximize profitability and market competitiveness.

  • Analyze pricing data from various sources (e.g., industry standards, competitor pricing, historical sales trends). Evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.

  • Develop pricing proposals for new products and services

  • Monitor and report on pricing performance and competitiveness.

Basic Qualifications

  • Understanding of cost accounting and pricing's impact on financial reporting

  • Strong spoken and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior business leaders

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field and or equivalent relevant business experience and education

  • Minimum of 3-5 years pricing analysis or financial analysis in support of sales / commercial operations

Other Requirements:
  • Expertise with analytics / statistics software suites (SAS, Minitab, Excel, SPSS)

  • Expertise with CRM applications (Dynamics, Salesforce, or similar program)

  • Experience with Tableau

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience hiring, training, and managing analysts to enable career growth

  • Decisiveness - Uses a framework or process by which to make decisions. At times, will need to make decisions quickly and often with incomplete data.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret data and technical drawings for complex bids

Education and/or Experience:
  • 5-8+ years of pricing analysis or financial analysis in support of sales / commercial operations

  • Management experience of pricing or commercial operations team

Other Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience with pricing or revenue management technologies (CPQ, SPM, Apttus, CallidusCloud)

  • Expertise with ERP applications for pricing use (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics)

  • Experience with Tableau

Working Conditions
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
