Job Description:
We are looking for a functional and analytics services manager to join and lead our growing teams of functional/technical experts and manage the processes and people responsible for the selection, implementation, and IT systems in an enterprise portfolio. The ideal candidate has a knack for seeing solutions in the use and support of commonly used solutions in Finance, Human Resources, Health and Safety, CRM, Data Warehousing, Analytics Tools and others supporting those business capabilities and the business mindset to convert insights into strategic opportunities for our companies.
The ideal candidate will also manage our growing team of data analytics experts and manage the processes and people responsible for accurate data collection, cleansing, modeling and analysis work. The ideal candidate has a knack for seeing solutions in sprawling data sets and the business mindset to convert insights into strategic opportunities for our company.
The Manager of Functional and Analytics Services will work closely with leaders across all business areas to support and implement high quality business solutions that align with strategic objectives. They will ensure implementation and support standards are followed to produce a consistent service and delivery by designing and creating optimal processes and procedures for system functional and analytic employees to follow. They will use best practice process and project techniques to interpret key findings from analysis to turn into initiatives that will support business outcomes and drive competitive advantage. The right person for the job will apply their exhaustive knowledge of business systems to solving real-world problems faced by our company and finding opportunities for improvement across multiple projects, teams and business units.
This resource must be able to work independently and work as a member of an applications team. Limited travel will be required. This is a fulltime permanent staff position located in Missoula, Montana or Vancouver, British Columbia. No H1B Visa or Sponsorship
Responsibilities and Technical Skills Required:
  • Lead cross-functional projects using advanced business and analysis techniques to guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
  • Manage a team of individuals who support both on-premise and cloud solutions and maintain data integrity in those systems.
  • Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
  • Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions.
  • Design and build technical processes to address business issues.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics.
  • Examine, interpret and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders in leadership, technology, sales, marketing and operational teams.
  • Recruit, train, develop and supervise technical/functional and analyst-level employees.
  • Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables of reporting employees with comprehensive policies and processes.
  • Act as subject matter expert on matters of system changes, system enhancements and maintenance updates.
  • Perform evaluations on a regular basis, ensuring that new releases in software technology are properly upgraded for all facets of the system including proper patching and security.
  • Coordinate with all system stakeholders, including functional, technical owners and vendors.
  • Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget and business within your department and design/implement solutions to meet these needs.
  • Communicate results and business impacts of insight initiatives to stakeholders within and outside of the company.

Position Requirements:
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree; or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years' experience in complete life cycle of application software delivery
  • 5+ years' experience in complete life cycle of data warehouse builds
  • Knowledge and experience with ERP, HRIS, CRM, Health and Safety systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with Azure Data Services backend tools or and Power BI front tools or similar.
  • Experience in supporting production upgrades, change control and user testing & training
  • Experience delivering projects with vendor partners. Manage vendor timelines and deliverables across internal and external teams
  • Well organized task planner with the ability to scope projects in a highly detailed manner
  • Strong leadership qualities; ability to interface with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Development and Business Operations
  • Ability to build strong rapport with stakeholders to influence desired outcome

Hours
This is a salaried hybrid work position with some flexibility in hours. Employees will be expected to deliver a full 40 hour week. Applicant must be willing to work additional or non-standard hours to support delivery of time-critical project deadlines.
