PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)
In a state agency this class is accountable for independently performing a full range of tasks in research design and implementation.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE
Six (6) years of professional experience in research, data analysis or economics.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED
\r\n College training may be\r\n substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester\r\n hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4)\r\n years for a Bachelor's degree.\r\n A Master's degree in\r\n economics, statistics or a closely related field may be substituted for one (1)\r\n additional year of the General Experience.\r\n Successful completion of a\r\n Connecticut Careers Trainee program approved by the Department of\r\n Administrative Services may be substituted for the General Experience.\r\n \r\n\r\n
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
\r\n Experience in federal reporting and maintaining federally compliant files\r\n Experience with retrieving data utilizing SQL or similar programs\r\n Experience managing, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets\r\n Experience with child welfare data reporting, including understanding of federal systems such as NCANDS and AFCARS and how child welfare case activity translates into federally defined data elements.\r\n\r\n
