Join Collins Aerospace as a Sr. Analyst, Engineering Services to support Configuration Management under the Avionics organization. In this role you will establish and maintain all aspects of configuration management activities relative to identification, control, accounting, and auditing for systems and/or equipment in accordance with internal guidelines and contract requirements.

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.

What YOU will do:

  • Plans, gather, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates product configuration data, including engineering design changes to support engineering disciplines.
  • Reviews proposed design changes for adherence to site level and Collins level Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, as well as, adherence to industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Leads the coordination of change orders (CO) with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering design support and data control activities.
  • Participates and plays a key role in the Business Unit department initiatives.
  • Validates that customer requirements are implemented and met, and manages change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies
  • Significant knowledge of CM industry practices and standards.
  • Chair Configuration Control Board meetings
  • Resolve issues in a timely manner and ensure proper engineering intent is realized without jeopardizing contract compliance.
  • Write and update standard work documents.
  • Support audits and resulting corrective actions.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Microsoft Office, Word, Power Point and Excel skills
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Experience with reading and understanding technical processes.
  • Interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience working with Boeing, Airbus, or Military customers.
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management.
  • Experience/knowledge in SAP, TEAMCENTER, Product Lifecycle Management Tool (PLM), SharePoint.
  • Experience working with cross-functional groups; in this role you would interact with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Safety, Records, Drafting & Operations
  • Understanding of Engineering and Manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with engineering change process.
  • Project Management experience.
