Job description

Research Analyst
Position Summary
The Research Analyst is responsible for collecting, validating, analyzing, and maintaining accurate commercial real estate market information within the company's proprietary database. This includes tracking properties available for lease and sale, completed lease and sale transactions, economic trends, development activity, construction pipelines, and tenant/buyer information. The Research Analyst will also interpret market data and trends for use in statistical reporting, market analysis, and company publications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively and routinely update and maintain the research database.
  • Adhere to established standards to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Research and verify market, property, tenant, buyer, and transaction information.
  • Prepare market reports, trend reports, charts, and graphs.
  • Support the Research Team in responding to broker and client research requests.
  • Identify and interpret market trends and emerging developments.
  • Work collaboratively with the Research and Marketing teams to produce clear, data-driven market materials.

Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in commercial real estate, research, data analytics, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational, research, data collection, validation, and auditing skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to recognize patterns and interpret market trends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to learn new databases and research platforms quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work on detailed, long-term projects.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and intellectually curious with a desire to grow in commercial real estate.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently and take ownership of assignments.
  • Experience with commercial real estate databases and research tools is helpful but not required; training will be provided.
  • Experience with Salesforce, CoStar, LoopNet, Crexi, CommGate, Moody's, LandVision, Real Capital Analytics, Dealius, LightBox, Canva, and Microsoft Office is a plus.
