Job description

We’re seeking a Program Operations Analyst who blends program analysis with hands-on operational support to help leaders run the day-to-day execution of a program/portfolio. You’ll maintain visibility into priorities, schedule and reporting, and keep teams aligned on actions, deadlines, risks, and deliverables.

This position will support work in two locations: Arlington, VA and Washington, DC.

Pay Range $99,000 - $163,000


The pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, geographic location, and any applicable laws


  • Build and maintain program trackers, schedules, dashboards, and performance metrics to monitor milestones, deliverables, and KPIs.
  • Produce recurring and ad-hoc reporting (weekly status, monthly rollups, executive summaries), translating data into clear insights and recommended actions.
  • Support budget/financial tracking (forecasting, spend plans, variance monitoring) and flag risks or deltas early.
  • Partner directly with program leadership to manage daily priorities, prepare for key meetings, and ensure follow-through on leadership direction.
  • Drive the day-to-day operating cadence: schedule meetings, build agendas, capture decisions/next steps, and actively track action items to closure.
  • Maintain real-time program visibility by updating status artifacts and coordinating resolution of blockers, dependencies, and cross-team handoffs.
  • Coordinate stakeholder inputs across functions (engineering, finance, contracts, logistics, etc.) to keep deliverables and responses on-track.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Finance, Analytics, Public Administration, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in program execution support, program analysis, PMO, business operations, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical ability and comfort working with ambiguity; able to synthesize information into clear recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivots, lookups, structured data) and strong comfort with PowerPoint/briefing preparation.
  • Experience running operating rhythms (cadence meetings, action tracking, status reporting) and driving follow-through.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a leadership-support mindset (clarity, discretion, responsiveness).
Nice to have
  • Experience supporting government, defense, or other compliance-driven environments.
  • Experience with common execution tools (Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, MS Project, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Familiarity with financial concepts (forecasting, burn rates, variance analysis).
  • Power BI/Tableau experience; basic SQL/data-query skills.
  • Process improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
