Job Description Summary
Administers and manages complex enterprise workload automation and scheduling platforms supporting critical business applications across the firm. Acts as the primary support and central point of contact for batch processing, orchestration services, and managed file transfer (MFT) platforms with significant enterprise impact.
Works closely with application teams, infrastructure, and vendors to ensure reliable execution of workflows, timely issue resolution, and continuous improvement of scheduling and automation capabilities. Applies specialized domain knowledge to monitor, analyze, and optimize batch processing environments and data integration workflows.
Job Description
This position follows our hybrid-friendly schedule, so you get the best of both worlds - flexibility and collaboration. In office days will be 2-3 per week averaging 10-12 days per month in our St Petersburg, FL Corporate Office.
Please note: This role is not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.
Responsibilities
Workload Automation & Scheduling
  • Administer and support enterprise scheduling platforms (e.g., Control-M, Airflow)
  • Monitor and manage batch processing environments, ensuring successful execution of critical business workflows
  • Manage job scheduling, dependencies, calendars, and event-driven workflows across distributed systems
  • Troubleshoot job failures, abends, and workflow disruptions, ensuring timely resolution and escalation

Managed File Transfer (MFT) & Data Integration
  • Support enterprise MFT platforms (e.g., Sterling, Connect:Direct, SFTP)
  • Monitor and troubleshoot file transfers, data feeds, and integration workflows across internal and external partners
  • Ensure data delivery timeliness, integrity, and security
  • Coordinate onboarding of new file transfer partners and workflows

Monitoring, Incident Response & Problem Management:
  • Monitor scheduling systems, logs, and alerts to maintain SLA compliance and operational stability
  • Perform root cause analysis for job failures, data issues, and system disruptions
  • Identify recurring issues and drive permanent resolution and process improvements
  • Partner with application and infrastructure teams during incident resolution
Automation & Operational Efficiency:
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and utilities to improve operational efficiency
  • Identify and implement opportunities to reduce manual intervention in batch operations
  • Enhance monitoring, alerting, and self-healing capabilities within scheduling environments
  • The role requires a proactive approach to system monitoring and continuous improvement.
  • This position plays a critical role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of enterprise-wide batch processing operations, ensuring that business-critical processes execute on schedule and meet established service level agreements.

Security, Compliance & Controls:
  • Ensure scheduling and MFT environments adhere to enterprise security, audit, and compliance requirements
  • Maintain access controls, audit trails, and secure configurations
  • Support SOX and audit activities, including evidence collection and documentation

Documentation & Knowledge Management:
  • Create and maintain runbooks, job documentation, and operational procedures
  • Maintain accurate system configurations and workflow documentation
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and operational best practices

Collaboration & Leadership:
  • Serve as liaison between application teams, infrastructure, vendors, and business stakeholders
  • Participate in project initiatives involving onboarding, migrations, and platform enhancements
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members and peers
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience and Skills:
  • Experience supporting enterprise scheduling platforms (Control-M, Airflow, or equivalent)
  • Experience managing batch processing and job orchestration environments
  • Experience supporting MFT platforms and secure file transfers (SFTP, Connect:Direct, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting experience in production support environments
  • Experience with scripting or automation tools
  • Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and alerting tools.

Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Experience with hybrid orchestration environments (Control-M + Airflow integration patterns)
  • Experience with cloud-based scheduling or containerized workloads
  • Experience with enterprise integration platforms and APIs
  • Experience supporting high-volume batch environments with strict SLA requirements
  • Experience improving operational processes through automation and tooling
  • Experience leveraging AI tools for operations, analytics, or documentation use cases.

Licenses/Certifications:
  • Control-M, Airflow, or MFT-related certifications preferred
