Job description

Turning Points for Children VISTA
The TP4C VISTA will align with Economic Opportunity goals set forth in the AmeriCorps VISTA guidance for this year by helping to streamline organization efforts to ensure that youth aging out of the foster care system have the resources needed to support themselves through employment and receiving appropriate health care and reintegration services, that youth remain safe from violent crime, and that youth complete post- secondary education or training for continued development. Part of this position will include engagement with TP4C's Food and Wellness Network (FAWN), which operates food pantries and conducts wellness programming. A VISTA in this position will support food distribution efforts and expand health and wellness programming and case management.
Member Duties : 1. VISTA will support special event planning and recruitment of volunteers for events. 2. The VISTA will assist in planning for program implementation with new partner organizations and support program staff for continued success. 3. The VISTA will also support the improvement of the development systems that better track funding opportunities and resources for grant writing and fundraising. 4. The VISTA will help improve Turning Points' social media presence, website content and updates throughout the year, and board presentations and grant compliance. 5. The VISTA will support food distribution efforts, including data collection and analysis, volunteer recruitment, food distribution logistics, and communications. 6. The VISTA will expand health and wellness programming associated with FAWN operations.
