Job description

KCLT Homeownership Education & Stewardship AmeriCorps VISTA
The Homeownership Education & Stewardship VISTA will increase access to affordable homeownership opportunities for low- and moderate-income individuals and families in Whatcom County. By developing outreach, education, and data collection systems, tools, and objectives for staff implementation, this project will build Kulshan Community Land Trust's capacity to support first-time homebuyers, strengthen long-term housing stability resources, and use data to inform fundraising and strategic decision-making. These capacity-building efforts will help the organization expand affordable homeownership opportunities and strengthen long-term financial stability for low- and moderate-income households.
Member Duties : The Homeownership Education & Stewardship AmeriCorps VISTA will build Kulshan Community Land Trust's organizational capacity by developing sustainable education, outreach, and data management systems. The VISTA will create and improve online educational resources, develop outreach materials, communication templates, and partnership tools, and design impact metrics, Salesforce dashboards, survey tools, and reporting processes for staff use. The member will document systems and procedures that strengthen fundraising, strategic planning, and homeownership education, enabling staff to more effectively support first-time homebuyers and homeowners long after the VISTA service year has ended.
