We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI agents that leverage large scale telemetry, security, application, and network data sources. The ideal candidate will build intelligent agentic systems capable of autonomous reasoning, anomaly detection, threat identification and operational decision support across digital channels.
This role requires expertise in Generative AI, Agentic AI frameworks, distributed data processing, and cybersecurity analytics. The engineer will work with diverse datasets including application logs, Layer 3 and Layer 4 network traffic, Web Application Firewall (WAF) events, bot detection signals, and other fraud/security data sources.
Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and deploy AI agents for identifying malicious activity, bot attacks, account takeover attempts, fraud patterns, API abuse, and network anomalies. Analyze large scale datasets from application logs, Layer 3 and Layer 4 network traffic, WAF logs and security events, Bot management and bot detection platforms, Threat intelligence feeds and external data sources
  • Create agents capable of correlating events across multiple telemetry sources, monitoring signals, triggering playbooks and learn from feedback.
  • Develop multi-agent systems capable of reasoning, planning, retrieval, tool usage, and workflow orchestration.
  • Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agent memory, and knowledge graph integrations to improve agent effectiveness.
  • Create AI-powered copilots and investigative assistants for security analysts
  • Implement model monitoring, drift detection, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on AI initiatives.
  • Define technical standards, best practices, and architectural patterns for AI agent development.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of software engineering or AI development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with GenAI, LLMs, and agentic workflows
  • Strong programming skills in Python, NoSQL, REST API.
  • Experience building AI agents using frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain or equivalent.
  • Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) for tool integration and A2A for agent-to-agent collaboration
  • Strong understanding of anomaly detection, classification and clustering.
  • Experience working with large scale log, telemetry, network, or security datasets.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with WAF platforms, bot management systems (Cloudflare or AWS Shield or Google cloud Armor), SIEM technologies, or security analytics tools.
  • Experience leading technical teams and delivering enterprise-scale AI platforms.
  • Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
