Job description

Adjunct Faculty-Drawing
Mount Mercy University, located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa invites applications to apply for an adjunct faculty position in drawing.
The successful candidate will possess some combination of the following with respect to credentials and experience:
  • Have an MFA in fine art or a closely related field, or be actively pursuing an MFA in fine art.
  • Applicants with demonstrated university-level teaching experience will receive special consideration.
  • A strong portfolio of personal drawing work and/or examples of student drawing work
  • Possess competency in foundational drawing techniques including, but not limited to: media proficiency, linework, perspective, value and tone, positive/negative space

The individual hired for this position will be expected to embrace the following responsibilities and objectives:
  • Teaching 1 course of AD100 - Drawing,
  • Holding 1 office hour per week.
