Job description

The Workplace Incident Management (WIM) Team is searching for a WIM Investigator II to join the team. In this role, you will conduct investigations and threat assessments involving acts of violence, threats of violence and potential for violence/concerning behaviors. This position is an individual contributor and will report to the Regional WIM Manager, AMER Region.
The WIM Investigator II is responsible for the day-to-day management of workplace incidents. To accomplish this, the WIM Investigator II will use knowledge and skill to decide which actions to take to meet goals, design short-term solutions, and deliver with limited guidance. The WIM Investigator II will lead multi-disciplinary teams comprised of cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Human Resources, Employee Relations, Legal) and security partners (e.g., site security, intelligence analysts) to assess behavior, investigate actions, and implement appropriate.
Key job responsibilities
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Human Resources, Employee Relations, Legal) and security partners (site security, intelligence analysts) to meet team goals.
• Perform comprehensive threat assessments or investigations into workplace incidents involving internal or external persons, deciding which actions to take and designing short-term solutions with limited guidance.
• Organize, prioritize, and investigate multiple incidents concurrently, as part of a caseload, with overlapping deadlines and changing priorities-making trade-offs between time, quality, and resources.
• Conduct interviews of impacted employees, witnesses, and/or persons of interest.
• Analyze CCTV video, access control systems, and other data collection capabilities.
• Use an internal case management system for documentation of threat assessments and/or investigations.
• Deliver detailed, well-organized, factual, and timely investigative information, reports, assessments, and presentations for internal customers and stakeholders related to workplace incidents. Communication must be clear and concise in both verbal and written formats (e.g., narratives, executive summaries, proposal docs, fear management approaches).
• Optimize operational excellence procedures and processes to improve team efficiency.
• Provide guidance to peers and regularly support and mentor team members.
• Develop mitigation/management plans - Recommending and implementing risk mitigation strategies beyond just "protective measures"
• Training and awareness - Provide workplace violence prevention training, education, and outreach to employees and managers
• After-action reviews - Conduct post-incident reviews and managing corrective action efforts
• Emergency/on-call response - Availability for after-hours emergencies

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in Incident Management, Threat Management, Corporate Investigations, Law Enforcement, Security Operations, Crisis Management or a related field that involves conducting threat assessments, workplace investigations, and/or incident response
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of Incident Management, Threat Management, Corporate Investigations, Law Enforcement, Security Operations, Crisis Management or related field experience
- Experience in guiding, training and mentoring others, or experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Master's degree or equivalent in Business, Criminology, Social Work, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university
- Demonstrated ability to optimize procedures and processes and contribute best practices across teams
- Experience managing project work streams and delivering milestones with limited guidance

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
