Job description

Bilingual Spanish Customer Service Representative

Robert Half is partnering with a nonprofit organization to identify a Bilingual Spanish Customer Service Representative. This is a great opportunity for a compassionate, service-oriented professional who enjoys helping people, answering questions, and providing exceptional customer service.


Position Overview

The Bilingual Spanish Customer Service Representative will serve as a key point of contact for clients, providing friendly and professional support by phone and other communication channels. This role involves answering questions, helping clients navigate available resources, documenting information, and following up as needed in both English and Spanish.


The ideal candidate is empathetic, professional, comfortable connecting with people, and able to maintain accuracy and composure while assisting clients with a variety of needs.

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time; assigned shifts fall between 7:00 AM and 6:30 PM.

Hybrid Schedule: After the first 6 months, the role transitions to a hybrid schedule of 3 days remote and 2 days onsite.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, professional customer service to clients by phone and other communication channels
  • Respond to client questions and provide information about available resources and services
  • Listen to client needs and help identify appropriate next steps
  • Accurately document client interactions and information
  • Conduct follow-up calls as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure data quality
  • Communicate with clients in both English and Spanish
  • Assist with additional projects and administrative tasks as needed


Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required, with the ability to communicate professionally with clients in both languages
  • Customer service, call center, social services, or other client-facing experience preferred
  • Interest in or experience working within social services, community resources, or a similar helping profession is a plus
  • Strong ability to connect with people from a variety of backgrounds
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality
  • Ability to accurately collect and document sensitive client information
  • Comfortable having empathetic conversations with individuals experiencing challenging circumstances
  • Strong follow-through and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple applications, appointments, and follow-up activities
  • Comfortable learning county and state systems and shared technology platforms
