Finance Operations Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) performs accounting and financial planning & analysis services, and our primary customers are Finance Operations, Central Accounting and other Amazon Finance teams. Our vision is to create a world-class Accounting and Finance organization that raises the controllership bar, fosters continuous improvement, builds scalable processes and intelligent tools to support financial reporting and the strategic decision-making of our partners, and lowers the company's cost structure. FOAA seeks an experienced Finance Manager to support Accounts Receivable Accounting. This role will lead operational excellence initiatives, improve controllership, execute on recurring and holistic analytics; with strategic significance and high exposure. This role will focus on controllership with a mission to identify risk, document, design and implement improvements, and build scalable analytical frameworks to be leveraged by multiple cross-functional teams. This role cultivates an organizational environment that values development, diversity and growth opportunities for all FOAA employees. This role works with and effectively influences partner teams and key stakeholders across multiple organizations. The ideal candidate demonstrates ownership and sound judgment in decisions that have financial, business, operational, or customer implications, which leads the team to take smart risks and innovate. The ideal candidate has extensive financial statement audit and corporate accounting experience and who excels at problem solving, pays attention to details, and drives positive change by evaluating and streamlining existing operational and accounting processes, controls and metrics.
Key job responsibilities

- Apply extensive financial statement audit and corporate accounting expertise to problem-solving
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
