Job description

Are you interested in building high-performance, globally scalable financial systems and infrastructure that support Amazon's current and future growth. Are you seeking an environment where you can drive innovation. Does the idea of solving one of the most complex financial coordination challenges at a global scale - where every transaction touches tax, accounting, and treasury simultaneously - sound like your kind of problem.

If so, the Amazon Finance Technology (FinTech) team is for you!
Amazon FinTech is looking for a Senior Product Manager - Technical (PM-T) to deliver scalable products that will help our Accounting, Tax, and Treasury customers improve intercompany transaction processing, tax calculation, settlements, and data management to enhance controllership and reduce manual effort through automation. Intercompany transactions underpin billions of dollars in financial flows across Amazon's global legal entities - and the systems that manage them need to be as robust as the business they support.
We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented, and self-motivated Product Manager with a passion for solving complex problems and delivering high-quality technical products. In this role, you will develop product strategy, define product requirements, and partner with global internal teams to drive impactful outcomes

You will influence engineering and cross-functional stakeholders, and bring first-principle thinking to every decision. Success in this role requires the ability to move fast, think deeply, and take full ownership of outcomes - from strategy through execution.
The ideal candidate thrives in entrepreneurial environments where ambiguity is the norm, not the exception. You bring strong ownership and accountability, a sharp business and product sense, and a solid understanding of financial and accounting concepts

You are relentlessly curious - always seeking new inputs, questioning assumptions, and driving clarity where others see uncertainty.
High judgment, the ability to influence without authority, analytical rigor, and exceptional communication are essential. You are equally comfortable partnering with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and you understand that great product management means carrying the work forward - not just setting the vision.
Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Product Manager - Technical, you will lead large-scale product initiatives from vision through delivery. You will define long-term strategy for the intercompany program, identify gaps and opportunities, and build solutions that address complex business, financial, and regulatory needs.
* Own the product strategy, roadmap, and vision for a component within the intercompany program, aligned to broader business objectives
* Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery and requirements gathering through design, delivery, launch, and post-launch support
* Translate complex business, financial, and regulatory requirements into clear technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
* Partner with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality scalable solutions
* Build direct relationships with Accounting, Tax, and Treasury stakeholders to deeply understand customer pain points, validate solutions, and ensure products deliver measurable value
* Influence and align cross-functional stakeholders at all levels - managing upward and downward communications with clarity and precision
* Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics; monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement using data and customer insights
About the team
FinTech's charter is to enable Finance and Global Business Services (FGBS) teams, and amplify the benefit of FGBS teams to support the growth, expansion, and restructuring of the businesses

The Intercompany team builds technology solutions to manage the lifecycle of intercompany transactions at Amazon, which includes Transaction Processing, Tax Administration, Settlements, and Data Management. Intercompany transactions between Amazon legal entities are vital to our financial operations, facilitating the exchange of goods, services, funds, and resources. Our team's mission is to equip our customers with the tools to ensure compliance across all intercompany transactions while supporting Amazon's continued growth.
