Job Description

The Senior Manager of SK-II, Digital Marketplace will be responsible for managing and executing strategies related to Amazon within their team or organization. This role will lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of the Amazon (3P) marketplace business to drive profitable growth, enhance brand visibility, and improve customer engagement. This role owns end-to-end marketplace performance, and cross-functional collaboration, while building strong relationships with Amazon and external partners to unlock new opportunities and deliver sustained business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Shelf Quality & Content Health

  • Monitor PDP content health and accuracy (titles, bullets, descriptions, images, attributes, enhanced content).

Performance & Insights

  • Track KPI performance including content completeness, share of search, conversion rate, ratings/reviews, and sales impact.
  • Provide weekly reporting and insights on key content opportunities and competitor benchmarks.
  • Support experimentation and learning agenda (A/B tests where supported).

Experience with retailer portals

  • Detail-oriented execution, strong follow-through, cross-functional collaboration, data-driven problem solving, bias for action.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:Marketplace Strategy & Growth

  • Serve as the leader of the Amazon 3P digital marketplace business, driving strategy and execution to grow revenue, contribution margin, and brand visibility.
  • Lead the forecasting and planning process, setting revenue goals and identifying opportunities to scale profitably.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase sessions, attract new customers, and improve conversion rates, leveraging innovative marketing tactics and organic traffic drivers.
  • Continuously assess and optimize the Amazon Premium Beauty program, determining long-term viability and maximizing sales within the program.

Joint Business Planning & Relationship Management

  • Own the Joint Business Planning (JBP) process with Amazon, ensuring a strategic and structured approach to growth.
  • Negotiate and build strong relationships with Amazon category teams, securing better placements, promotional opportunities, and incremental investments to drive sales.
  • Work closely with retail partners to align on growth targets, promotional strategies, and key initiatives that drive revenue and visibility for the brand.

Agency & External Partner Management

  • Oversee and manage external agency partners responsible for:
    • Amazon search & performance marketing (AMS, DSP etc.)
    • Marketplace operations and logistics (inventory planning, fulfillment, compliance)
    • Advertising and demand generation to increase sessions and drive incremental sales
  • Communicate clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations to agencies, ensuring alignment with brand and business objectives.

Business Ownership

  • Drive revenue targets.
  • Optimize pricing, promotions, and marketing investments to maximize ROI while maintaining brand equity.

Amazon Marketplace Operations

  • Manage merchandising and content strategy, working with internal teams and agency ensuring all listings are optimized for conversion, including Enhanced Brand Content, SEO, product descriptions, and imagery.

Marketing & Performance Optimization

  • Develop and oversee Amazon AMS/DSP advertising strategies, ensuring efficient ad spend and strong ROI.
  • Partner with Growth, Retention, and Data & Insights teams to better understand consumer behavior and leverage insights to refine marketing and sales strategies.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Reporting

  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership, Finance, Operations, and Marketing to ensure marketplace growth aligns with broader company objectives.
  • Continuously analyze business performance and share key insights, learnings, and next steps with senior leadership to drive informed decision-making.

    Job Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or relevant degree.

    • 5+ years of experience managing Amazon or other digital marketplace businesses.
    • Strong understanding of Amazon ecosystem, including SEO, PDP optimization, advertising, and marketplace operations.
    • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, improving conversion rates, and optimizing digital shelf performance. Detail-oriented with excellent execution and follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong analytical capabilities, including hands-on experience working with performance data to assess impact, identify drivers of profitable growth, and inform investment decisions Ability to work under limited supervision and determine own priorities.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary for current job requirements.
