Job description

Join our Virtual Prototype Simulation System (VPSS) team by assisting the Sales Group in justifying fabrication equipment. Gather, analyze, and present customized cost justification reports directly to clients. Visit manufacturing shops to help identify product process improvements using a variety of Amada's proprietary software. The VPSS team maps out manufacturer’s current workflow from print to part, evaluating and then recommending improvements in their process by applying new Amada machine tool technology. Requires 20% travel, mostly within the US.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and deliver effective customer presentations based on study data and findings.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Product Specialists to build tailored proposals using Amada’s marketing information and product knowledge.
  • Present study results to customers in person and through virtual meetings.
  • Lead sales teams during on-site data collection at customer facilities.
  • Assist sales teams in gathering and processing information for projects.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by helping develop new processes and procedures.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Utilize Amada software products in support of VPSS and sales initiatives.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Ability to learn and apply new software products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate sheet metal processes and align them with Amada product solutions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

PAY STRUCTURE:

  • Base pay $60,000.00 + $1,000 monthly profit bonus + PO bonuses 
  • Total pay estimate for 1st year will be $75k-$85k.
  • Eligible for bonuses/commission

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Background in the sheet metal industry and related manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of Amada’s product line and applications.
  • Familiarity with Amada’s sales procedures and workflows.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Occasional travel to support projects and Amada initiatives.

      REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
      Reports to manager.

      None
