Job description

We are looking to add Machine Operators - Brakes to our Indianapolis, IN team. This role operates various sheet metal forming and stamping equipment (Amada and Trumpf press brakes) to safely, accurately, and timely produce sheet metal components for assembly utilizing the current standard shop floor job protocols, performs other job-related duties, and completes all necessary records.
The successful candidate(s) will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, related technical trade training, six months or more of brake press machine operating or other job-related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience; understand and be comfortable with both the working environment and physical requirements of the role including a non-climate-controlled warehouse, lifting/pushing/pulling objects up to 50 pounds, and standing on one's feet for a longer period of time; the ability to read and understand simple instructions in basic English; and the ability to do basic/intermediate math skills. Previous work experience safely, efficiently and effectively braking/bending material with the ability to read engineering drawings to brake by specs in addition to previous use of various measuring devices like tape measures and calipers is strongly preferred.

MicroMetl operates two machining shifts, daytime and evening, each with four (4) 10-hour shift days including two paid 15-minute breaks and an unpaid 30-minute lunch. 

Current Open Position Shifts:  

A Shift (Morning/Daytime): M - Th, 5:30a - 4:00p

B Shift (Night/Evening):      M - Th, 4:00p - 2:30a

*There is an hourly wage progression increase opportunity with acceptable overall job performance and reviews at 90-Days, Six Months, and One Year from date of hire*

*Employees may be required to work mandatory overtime after regularly scheduled hours including Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays during busy season or as needed and required. *
